Our Tile Selection

tiles Walla Walla, WA

Tiles are found throughout the home, including on floors, walls, countertops, backsplashes, and even stairs. Plus, tiles are suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, bedrooms…virtually everywhere inside (and outside!) the home. It’s therefore no surprise that when it comes to home remodeling, tiles are always an important consideration. We at Walla Walla Carpet One offer one of the area’s largest selections of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, and glass tiles.

Ceramic Tile

Ceramic tile is often considered a “catch-all” because, to put it plainly, it is used everywhere in the home. It is especially popular as floor tile in kitchens and bathrooms because of its durability and design options. Ceramic tiles will resist water and heat, and they also can be treated so that they resist spills and stains. As a result, maintaining tiles in areas with moisture is rather straightforward. Moreover, ceramic tiles are available in so many different colors, shades, shapes, and sizes, so they can accommodate any design needs you have in mind. Ceramic can even be glazed for extra shine!

Porcelain Tile

In areas where durability is more important, porcelain tile is more practical. While porcelain doesn’t quite offer the design versatility of ceramic, it does offer extra strength and resistance. Porcelain is denser than ceramic, so it resists less water. It also is stronger and more stable, so any potential drops will not be an issue. In fact, because porcelain is so dense, it’s really difficult to crack or chip porcelain tiles! Given porcelain’s extra durability, it, unlike ceramic, is suitable for outdoor areas such as patios.

Glass Tile

Glass tile is a great option for walls and backsplashes. The tiles are typically smaller, but they offer vibrant colors and various levels of shine. Also, glass tiles seem to capture and reflect light in a room, so they can actually “light up” your wall or backsplash. Glass tiles can be used with ceramic tiles to create custom wall or backsplash designs.
